I've seen a lot of Game of Thrones fan fiction. With several stories with a self insert. This is the first I've seen however with Tommen as the MC. So for me it's new just for that. With it being Game of Thrones it's got to be explicit. The show and books were just to raw for it to be any other way and be close to be acceptable. This is very
THRONES: Visit the Dark Hedges. The beautiful avenue of beech trees was planted in the 18th century as an entryway to Gracehill House near Ballymoney. But the trees have more recently been re-purposed as the Kings Road in a number of Game of Thrones scenes. Arya Stark was seen traveling down the Dark Hedges when she escaped from Kings Landing.

The Dark Hedges are arguably the Game of Thrones Ireland location that receives the most attention online. The trees here were planted in 1775 by James Stuart to make the approach to his Georgian estate more impressive. The Dark Hedges were used Season 2, episode 1: On the King’ s Road to depict, unsurprisingly enough, the King’s Road. Recently the show has come under attack for its “poor script” by the New York Times Ginia Bellafonte and renown science fiction writer Orson Scott Card. Bellafonte argues that the “Game of Thrones is boy fiction”, though one can argue that if nudity and war makes it boy fiction then why is there such a huge female following for True

Very pretty. Not familiar with Game of Thrones so I've no idea what tree Mr Thrones sat under or whatever, but the other tourists seemed happy enough. Arrived mid-morning and the lane was nicely busy without being crowded. Definitely worth a look if you're passing, though don't expect the Dark Hedges to be dark hedges so much as medium-shade trees.
Following up from my last map here is Kings Road! Inspired by The Kingsroad from Game of Thrones, otherwise known as The Dark Hedges in Ireland. My goal with posting these maps is to hopefully include everyone in them. By that I mean, I’m starting with more common locations so more people hopefully get use of the map, and everyone needs a Catelyn sailed part of the way, as ckal says, which is a lot faster than slogging along the road. Lord Mountain Goat has an animated timeline kicking around somewhere which is linked to in his .sig, and Errant Bard (I think - I often get this one wrong) put together a nice date-by-date timeline as well.
